When Jennifer Lawrence said, “What do you mean?” she meant, “What does Lorde mean by this?” The New Zealand–born musician, whose legal name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor, has been super quiet ever since the debut of her album Solar Power in 2021 (accompanied by an exit from social media), but a recent appearance at Paris Fashion Week has the stans murmuring.

Honestly, this makes sense for both acts. Lorde released her three albums in 2013, 2017, and 2021; Haim released theirs in 2013, 2017 and 2020. We’re due on both accounts. It’s just math.

People think independent investigative journalism is somehow not thriving, but the stan accounts are out there doing the work.
