It's not like we didn't see it coming. It's been two weeks since Kourtney Kardashian posted, "Bye bye blondie. One more smoking hot post for the haters," with a quartet of photos showing off the light blonde bob she's been sporting since early March. But in those two weeks, she hasn't actually revealed her new colour, which we presumed would be her go-to dark brown. She's posted plenty of throwback photos, including wedding shots for her anniversary with Travis Barker, but as far as we could tell, she might have changed her mind and stayed blonde.
But while it hasn't made its debut on the grid as of publishing this, Kardashian has finally confirmed her return to a nearly black hair colour on her Instagram Stories. Posted Friday, May 19, the photo reads, "About last night…" and tags makeup artist Sil Bruinsma (who gave her the most gorgeous warm smoky eye) and hairstylist Irinel de León.
Although it's unclear if de León is responsible for the colour, she definitely brought out its beauty last night by styling it in a sleek, side-parted bob that rivaled Kardashian's oversized leather jacket in shininess.
While there was a part of us hoping that she might decide to go some unexpected colour like red or blue before going back to dark brown, we can't complain. Kardashian always looks stunning in her natural hair colour.
