Amy Schumer will star in bizarre Netflix comedy movie Kinda Pregnant, which finds her faking a pregnancy after feeling jealous of her best friend, only to fall in love while she's knee deep in the whole charade.
This is the latest in Schumer's offbeat comedy roles, which have included 2015's Trainwreck where she plays a young magazine writer who doesn't believe that marriage or relationships hold any value, enter Bill Hader's character Dr Aaron Conners. I Feel Pretty saw her play an insecure woman whose injury from a nasty fall has an interesting side effect – she now finally believes she is beautiful, and makes all life decisions based on that confidence.
We're here for this duo.

We're interested to see what kind of comedic spin Amy puts on being “kinda pregnant”. Here's everything else so far about the movie.

Kinda Pregnant trailer
As well as a full-length trailer, Netflix also recently dropped a sneak peek at a key scene from Kinda Pregnant. Before she begins the fake pregnancy, Amy's character, Lainy, is told by her best friend that she's pregnant, and it's safe to say she does not react well.
It's hard to watch, for sure, but it also drills deep into the complexities of female friendships and how they are warped by the competition we may feel with each other to hit certain life milestones.
We see more of how Lainey's charade in the full trailer, including her accepting a seat on the subway due to her faux pregnancy and falling on her belly during pregnancy yoga. We also see snippets of the ways in which she discovers the uncomfortable and sad realities of daily life when you're pregnant.
The movie's tagline is also revealed as “the belly is fake… but the struggle is real”.
