Waiting in anticipation

JW Anderson is set to be the latest designer to create a bespoke collection for Japanese global retailer Uniqlo. Dropping in stores and online for the Fall/ Winter 2017 season, the range will have pieces for both men and women.

The Northern Irish designer, who is known for his intellectual approach to design, said of the pairing, “Collaborations are incredibly important in design. When I think of Uniqlo, I think of things that are perfectly made, that people have spent a lot of time considering; it’s a difficult job, and I think Uniqlo does it very well. Working with Uniqlo is probably the most incredible template of democracy in fashion, and it’s nice that my designs can be accessible to anyone, on all different levels.”

In 2012 and 2013 JW released a series of collections for Topshop, that sold out within minuets, and we firmly believe this collaboration will receive the same reaction.

In anticipation for the first look pieces - which will be released soon so keep an eye out - we've revisited JW Anderson's past collections. Will he take inspiration from his archive for the new Uniqlo line? We certainly hope so...
