Jason Momoa just confirmed his romance with actor Adria Arjona on his Instagram grid. But apparently, their relationship isn’t very new.
The actor has previously claimed that her part in the movie had been cut back due to her legal battles with Johnny Depp.
On May 20, the Aquaman star, 41, included Arjona, 33, in a series of snaps from his recent trip to Japan, including a windswept photo of the pair and an image of Arjona sitting on his lap during a dinner with friends. “Japan, you are a dream come true you blew my mind,” Momoa captioned his Instagram post. “We’re so thankful for everyone who opened their homes, making memories with new friends and old friends, sharing another amazing adventure with mi amor. ON THE ROAM motorcycles and mayhem. All my aloha j.”
While it’s unclear when Adria Arjona split from Edgardo Canales, the lawyer she married in 2019, Jason Momoa famously ended his four-year marriage and 16-year relationship with Lisa Bonet at the beginning of 2022. The former couple shares two teenage children and settled their divorce this January.
“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times,” Momoa and Bonet said in a joint statement in January 2022, per People. “A revolution is unfolding and our family is no exception… Feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so we share our family news that we are parting ways in marriage. We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty.”
The statement continued, “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become… Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life our children. Teaching our children what’s possible. Living the Prayer. May Love Prevail J & L.”
Momoa was briefly linked to actor Eiza Gonzáles after his breakup from Bonet, but the pair allegedly split in the summer of 2022. That year, rumours also spread that he was dating Kate Beckinsale, but he quickly shut those down. According to The Daily Mail, Momoa discussed his current relationship status during an appearance at Basingstoke Comic Con earlier this month, telling fans, “You’ll find out very soon. I’ve been in a relationship for a while.”
