It might be news to some, but the pronunciation of Primark is one of the most hotly debated topics in fashion. Our resident Scottish writer ensures us it's only pronounced "Pree-mark" in Scotland and up north, while in London I think we can all agree it's definitely said like "Pr-eye-mark".
In these torrid political times, the correct pronunciation of Primark might be the only thing to unite us. So here it is...
On the FAQ section of their website, under the popular question "How do you pronounce Primark?", Primark responded: "That’s a very good question. We like to use Pr-Eye-Mark."
