<p class="adAvoidedButFlowable">A short walk away from Liverpool
Street you'll find HotBox, located on Commercial Street. Once
you've been, you'll be desperate to go back - if only for the
deep-fried Oreos. And yes, you read that right, but more on those
later.
<p class="adAvoidedButFlowable">Inside, the space is small, dark,
and 'trendy' in that East London way that we all know and love. It
could be the perfect (third) date place, or just the ideal hang-out
with your mates, but perhaps not somewhere you'd go with your
parents - the cool music might not be their bag.

<p class="Default adAvoidedButFlowable">But on to the really
important stuff, the food.
<p class="Default adAvoidedButFlowable">With a menu
that's small but mighty (and meaty!), it caters for everyone.
Though perhaps not the vegetarians. Sorry about that.
<p class="Default adAvoidedButFlowable">The menu was created by
chef and "pitmaster" Lewis Spencer. Lewis has gone from a
food van to one of the new fave eateries in London. Not bad going

HAVE to try the fish glazed chicken wings to start (£6) - this
particular GLAMOUR writer doesn't love eating with her fingers
(that's why knives and forks were created!) and yet these were
finger-lickin'-good. LITERALLY.
<p class="Default adAvoidedButFlowable">For mains, if you're in
search of a really decent burger? (Who isn't?) Try the Smokey
Bandit - it went down a treat - and be sure to team it with sweet
potato fries and perhaps a side dish of Mac 'n' Cheese. What? We
were hungry!
<p class="Default adAvoidedButFlowable">
<p class="Default adAvoidedButFlowable">Yes, at around £12, HotBox
is dearer than your average burger - but they are divine, and worth
the treat.
Another strict order - our last, we promise, is make sure you try those Oreos we mentioned. Your plate will arrive with three douhnuts, a jug of hot gooey chocolate sauce and a scoop of honeycomb ice-cream. You couldn't ask for a naughtier pudding. Diet starts in January though, right?
