The volunteer group, which supports vulnerable women who have been victims of violence, have refused to stop their work, despite receiving death threats and being forced from their homes by armed groups. In the last week Google has flash-funded hundreds of requests from teachers across America on the education crowdfunding site DonorsChoose.org. Ranging from school supplies, to an entire special needs literacy centre, the company will fulfill requests from every single teacher in Boston, Seattle and Los Angeles.
