What are Heart Punch nails?

Creating a hole-punch effect, heart punch nails incorporate a negative-space heart cut-out design that quite literally looks like the heart shape has been punched out to leave behind a bare space. It's a cool technique that adds some extra interest to nails – and despite the cutesy heart design, the finished effect is seriously stunning. It's an easy way to add extra style kudos to your mani while keeping it simple without anything too bold or distracting.

How to do Heart Punch nails?

If you're artistically-inclined you can sketch out the heart free-hand, as shown by nail artist, Iram Shelton, below. Then fill in the gap around it and finish with a top coat. But we've also seen the design hacked with the help of heart-shaped stickers, then removed with tweezers after an all-over coat of nail paint.
