Is Halle Bailey training the next little merman? The actor and singer took her 6-month-old son Halo to the beach and they look like they are having the best time together.

On Instagram Stories, the mom of one shared a selfie she took with Halo in which the brown-eyed baby holds his own sand-covered foot while wearing a striped onesie. Behind him, you can see that Bailey seems to be wearing a necklace with Halo's name on it.

The Little Mermaid star welcomed Halo in December 2023 alongside her boyfriend, rapper DDG. They aren't too into posting about every little milestone for Halo, but they do share updates about his life, like these gorgeous photos from his first time in Italy. When Bailey turned 24, she posted some fun snaps of the family having a mud bath. Probably their sweetest family moment was when DDG put together the “Halle Bailey Awards” ceremony, in which she won every award. And cried.

In general, it seems like the young performer wants to find a balance between protecting her son's privacy and acknowledging the fact that social media is just a part of life, which she alluded to in her Glamour Woman of the Year speech in 2023. “It's been an adjustment to live my life under the scrutiny of that spotlight. But, in the age of social media, in some way, we all live under that same scrutiny. From what we wear to who we love to the things we care about – It’s all open to scrutiny," she said. “So, here’s my honest advice. Turn it off when you need to find inner peace. But also, live your life for you. Don’t waste time living it for social media. Everyone has an opinion but the only opinion that matters is your own – You already know deep down what’s right for you.” Well said.
