Gwyneth Paltrow posted a sweet tribute to her daughter Apple on the occasion of the Vanderbilt student turning 20 on May 14, and one of the pictures is making us do a quadruple-take.
The third slide, after two baby pics, shows the young Martin taking a selfie, and she looks more like her mom than ever. Like, no offence to Chris Martin, but his daughter is just her mother reincarnated. Here's Apple Martin in a recent selfie:
She's their de facto stepmum, having dated their dad since 2017.

And here's Gwyneth Paltrow in 1992, the year she turned 20:
That's the same face! Here's a pic of the Martin kids with their mom if you want to see how they all line up, bone-structure-wise.
And here's Paltrow four years later at the premiere of Emma, in case you want to know what Apple Martin will look like in 2028:
In her post, Paltrow raved about her almost-grown-up daughter, writing, “Happy 20th birthday, @applemartin 💕How can it be that you are 20 today? It feels surreal! You are the most extraordinary, the most hilarious, the most brilliant.. I love your WWII insights as much as I love your physical comedy. You are the most fun to be with and you have always been. From those days when it was always you and me to now, you are my lil ride or die. You are everything to me and I am so proud of you. Have the best day, my peanut. 💕mama.” Martin commented, “You are the best mama a girl could ask for. I am so lucky the universe gave me to you.” Welp, now I'm weepy.
Surprisingly relatable.

In addition to her kids Apple and Moses, Gwyneth Paltrow is also step-mom to her husband Brad Falchuk's children, Brody and Isabella. And while her relationship with them is now strong, they sadly did not get Blythe Danner's genes. Ah well, can't win em all!
