GLAMOUR Exclusive: NEW Diesel Fragrance launch

Image may contain Text and Alphabet

When I think Diesel, I think jeans. It conjures up all sorts of memories from my teens; frayed-at-edge styles, low-cut, stone washed fabrics. This all changed in 2011 when Diesel launched the EDP Loverdose (£30). The jasmine and liquorice infused fragrance fast became one of my scent staples; thus Diesel came to mean so much more than just jeans. When GLAMOUR Beauty were invited to get the scoop on the powerhouse's next big fragrance launch we were a little excited…to say the least.

Keep reading to find out about Diesel's new perfume launch that goes on counter today - as in you can buy it now! Plus, if you haven't been to Venice… Warning: You'll want to go after you've read this.

The Italian adventure starts here:
1. Pimp My Ride

We were picked up from the airport in the Venice version of a black cab. Not bad, right?

2. Room with a View

Did you know? Venice is known as "The City of Water". It's built on water and is surrounded by water.

3. Meet the Fragrance!

The ingredients:

Blackcurrent + Vanilla + Rice steam + Tonka Beans + Jasmine = Loverdose Tattoo EDP from £36 for 30ml.

And if you're a sucker for packaging (like me), the bottle is absolutely amazing. It's black glass, cut like a diamond in a heart shape and can be stood up in 3 different positions.

4. An afternoon with Andrea Rosso

Who is he? The son of Renzo Rosso, the founder of Diesel.

What we learnt: Loverdose Tattoo is aimed at the confident, strong woman and the scent should linger on your skin just like a tattoo.

5. Dinner with Diesel

And this is not a postcard… It's the view from Hotel Daniele (www.danielihotelvenice.com)

6. And 3 things I never knew…

  • They make their own branded wine.

  • They produce their own olive oil.

  • The Diesel HQ have their own kids nursery
