Just when Tinder was becoming a bit, well, meh…it raises its game by adding a GIF feature. We know, what a day to be alive.
The iOS dating app has teamed up with Giphy allowing users to now send animated GIFs to matches. So, whether you're stuck on that first message, need some flirtspiration (yes, I just said flirtspiration) or simply want to show your funny side, there is now, hopefully, an expressive GIF for that. And, if you're really struggling, Tinder will even help you out and suggest GIFs that are currently trending.
Other Tinder updates include being able to 'Like' messages (or GIFs) and upload profile pictures directly from your phone's camera roll, as opposed to just Facebook. Oh, and you can now post emojis in a larger format and anyone with an iPhone 6S/6S Plus can use 3D touch to preview links sent within messages.
It's all pretty tech-fabulous but it's the GIFs that's got team GLAMOUR back on the swiping wagon. Just imagine being the first couple to start a real relationship through GIF-only messages.
The GIFs are located next to the text input box which, let's face it, we'll probably never use again now. Because sometimes there really are no words for those creepy questions or swoony one-liners, just a short graphic image that moves.
With that in mind we put together the best/worst Tinder messages GLAMOUR has ever received, and added the GIF we SO wish we could have replied with at the time. And yep, these were all real...
