The second big Amazon Prime Day event of the year started at midnight on October 8th, and will wrap up at 23:59 on October 9th. So, you only have a 48-hour window to take advantage of all the discounts on countless tech, beauty, fashion and home products.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
For the uninitiated, Amazon Prime Day is the online retailer’s biggest sales event of the year. It originally came about back in 2015 as part of Amazon's 20th anniversary celebrations, but quickly became an annual event typically spanning across two days in July. And for the first time ever, we're being treated to an additional Amazon Prime Day event — dubbed Big Deals Day — in early October.
Arguably on par with Black Friday and Cyber Monday in terms of discounts, the iconic sales event is a great chance for Amazon Prime members to get next-day delivery and some Prime exclusive deals on products from notable brands like ghd, L'Oreal, Calvin Klein, Shark, Paula's Choice, Laneige, St. Tropez, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Olaplex, Color Wow, Revlon, Elemis and more.
