It's not all about collaborating with global
mega-stars like Rihanna - River Island
are doing their bit to support emerging design talent too, via a
collaboration with young British Designer Georgia Hardinge.

Part of River Island's Design Forum Initiative, the
14 piece, spring/summer collection has just landed in stores - and
if Georgia isn't on your fashion radar yet, the collab is a chic
introduction to her architectural, slightly surreal designs which
aim to contour the female silhouette (and are loved by Beyonce,
Florence Welch and Nicole Scherzinger).

Inspired by Swiss surrealist painter and
sculptor, H.R. Giger, the collection is a chance to snap up
whimsical prints and beautifully structured pieces on the high
street, from the chiffon printed maxi skirt and matching shirt, to
a standout structured neoprene dress with woven detail around the
hips (which we could totally see Nicole Scherz in if she returns to
The X Factor). There's shoes and accessories too - we're
loving the art deco esque silver clutch and white
flatforms.

So if you weren't charmed by the 90s
styling of the Rihanna x River Island partnership, this latest
collaboration provides a more avant-garde alternative.
