Remember when you were told never to play with your food? The internet's abundance of awesome culinary art says different.
The latest batch of food pics we can't stop talking about come from Samantha Lee, a Malaysian mum of two who has become an Instagram sensation thanks to her incredible, edible creations.
Creating cute characters from Hello Kitty to Snoopy out of food (plus celebrities like Lady Gaga), Samantha started plating up her work to encourage her eldest daughter to eat all her food - and now her kids love getting involved with the creation of each dish.
She told Today that each dish takes an hour and a half to create using scissors and toothpicks, and she publishes how-to's on her blog EatzyBitzy. She's also keen to make sure her food is fresh and healthy as well as pretty to look at:
"I learned that food art for kids shouldn't just look decorative and fancy. It should also taste as good as it looks"
Judging by her Instagram, which has racked up over 200,000 followers already, we're sure her food tastes pretty good too.
