Rihanna has had a busy week teasing an array of different lust-worthy hair looks – from natural curls to a sunflower blonde pixie – to mark the launch of Fenty Hair.
The multi-hyphenate singer-business woman-beauty mogul-fashion designer launched Fenty Beauty in 2017. Ever since, heroes such as the Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation and Match Stix Contour Skinsticks have become household names, let alone just cult buys in our routine.
With the fruitful popularity of her beauty products, it was only a matter of time before Rihanna launched into the hair category. “Hair has always been very personal to me—my hairstyles have been markers of my evolution,” she says.
On June 4, Rihanna posted the launch date for Fenty Hair on Instagram. As the count down to June 13 began, interest reached fever pitch – and with good reason.

Her nine-piece hair care and styling line – comprising one shampoo, two conditioners, one treatment, four stylers and one tool – was developed with all hair types and textures in mind, carrying over the “Beauty For All” ethos of her beauty products.
Despite the playful, tongue-in-cheek names, there's science behind the brand, too. A core tenet of Fenty Hair is what the brand calls its “Replenicore-5 complex” – a powerhouse blend of Barbados gooseberry, upcycled jackfruit extract, hydrolysed vegetable protein, antioxidant green tea and amino acids – to help treat split ends, hydrate and beef up strands.
The warm, amber floral fragrance is also worth a mention – this is Rihanna we're talking about after all, the celebrity many have namechecked as the best-smelling woman on earth. Predictably, Fenty Hair promises to smell just as heavenly.
Fenty Hair is available to buy today, but is it worth your hard-earned money? 5 GLAMOUR staffers find out…
The products:
Product: Fenty The Comeback Kid Instant Damage Repair Treatment Bond Builder, £34; Fenty The Protective Type 5-in-1 Heat Protectant Styler, £29
I'm absolutely in love! The Comeback Kid truly lives up to its name. After first use, my hair was noticeably shinier and bouncier. I was impressed as I removed every other product from my routine, keeping only my shampoo to make sure I was testing just the efficacy of this range. This damage repair treatment is not only easy to apply but also fantastic for detangling. Plus, it smells incredible! I do wish the bottle was larger, as I know I’m going to be running out of this quickly.
The second product, the 5-in-1 Heat Protectant Styler, initially made me skeptical. I usually prefer heat protectant sprays, as I worry that a cream might weigh down my hair. To my delight, it did no such thing! My hair was left looking and feeling healthy.
Overall, Fenty Hair has outdone itself with these products. They're effective, easy to use, and deliver noticeable results quickly. I can’t wait to see the long-term benefits of continued use. I definitely see these products becoming staples in my hair care routine. I give them a solid 9/10!

Product: Fenty The Richer One Moisture Repair Deep Conditioner, £29
Normally I'm nervous about using a product with the word ‘rich’ in the name as I have fine hair. But I needn't have worried about weighing my strands down with this intensive conditioner.
The Richer One Moisture Repair Deep Conditioner feels like whipped cream when it goes on and is easy to spread through the hair. I treated it like a mask as I'm currently the proud owner of quite frazzled ends, but it was easily the most enjoyable 20 minutes as the scent wafting down from my claw clip was incredible!
After rinsing, I left my hair to air dry. The result? My hair must have greedily lapped up those nourishing ingredients as it felt super soft and swishable afterwards. It also left behind the type of warm, comforting scent trail you'd normally only get with a hair perfume. Washing my hair just became a far more luxurious experience!

Product: Fenty The Homecurl Curl Defining Cream, £29
The Fenty 'Homecurl' Curl Cream is a game-changer for curly hair girlies. This product strikes the perfect balance between a curl jelly and a curl cream, giving you the best of both worlds. It has a divine scent that earned me some compliments around the office, while its sticky, thick texture made it easy to apply, ensuring every strand was coated evenly.
What I loved most about Homecurl is how it left my curls super defined and glossy, with a fabulous amount of hold but no crunchiness. My curls looked natural and bouncy, exactly what I aim for in my hair routine. As expected from Rihanna’s Fenty line, the quality is top-notch.
HomeCurl has earned a permanent spot in my hair care arsenal. However, it's worth noting that it doesn't mix well with other products. When I tried layering my usual curl cream on top, it just sat on my hair and wouldn't absorb. This minor hiccup aside, Homecurl stands out as a stellar product that delivers on its promises. For anyone looking to elevate their curl game, this curl cream is a must-try.

Products: Fenty The Controlling Type Hair-Thickening Edge Control, £22; Fenty The Side Stick 3-in-1 Edge Styling Tool, £15
The Fenty 3-in-1 Edge Styling Tool and Edge Control gel are total game changers! The brush is so functional—its pointy end is perfect for creating partings and taking sections of hair without any hassle. Plus, the actual edge brush is incredibly dense, way better than other tools I’ve tried. It made laying my edges super easy and let me shape my hair exactly how I wanted.
As for the gel, I was really impressed. It's got this thick, creamy consistency that smooths onto your hair like a dream. Even though I usually go for a much crunchier gel with strong hold, this moisturising one worked wonders. It held my edges perfectly without any fuss.
Honestly, both products blew me away. They’re a must-have for anyone with curly hair who wants sleek, defined edges. I can’t recommend the Fenty 3-in-1 Edge Styling Tool and Edge Control gel enough—they’ve definitely earned a permanent spot in my hair care routine.

Products: The Rich One Moisture Repair Shampoo, £29; The Rich One Moisture Repair Conditioner, £29
First off, I love the luxe feel of the packaging, with each bottle also featuring different textured tops to allow you to easily distinguish between shampoo and conditioner – a thoughtful sensory detail and a welcome help when you're battling to swipe the shampoo from your eyes in the shower.
The first thing you notice when you pump The Rich One Moisture Repair Shampoo is the insanely good smell it gives - light and fresh - like something you’d get in a salon. Of course, we'd expect nothing less from RiRi, who is famously complimented on her scent.
It had a silky smooth texture and lathered with ease. The Rich One Moisture Repair Conditioner was just as easy to apply and left my hair feeling light and fluffy, sans sulphates.
Fenty Hair states that it’s for all hair types, and while I can’t speak to the others, I can definitely say that my hair lapped these two products up.

Products: The Rich One Moisture Repair Shampoo, £29; The Rich One Moisture Repair Conditioner, £29
As someone who has always suffered from a sensitive scalp, I have had to be very careful with the shampoo and conditioner I use, as many can cause a flare-up of psoriasis. So, I was excited but wary to try Fenty Hair's new The Rich One shampoo and conditioner. I'm thrilled to report that since using the two products, I have experienced no irritation on my scalp.
The shampoo was gentle and nourishing. I also loved the bottle. The textured lid meant I could distinguish which bottle I was using without getting soap in my eyes, which was a bonus. When pumping out the shampoo, I was super satisfied with the thick, shimmery formula, and was pleased with how foamy and cleansing the shampoo felt.
The conditioner truly made my hair look like glass! I've been searching for a product that would give me super shiny hair, and this might just be it. When I applied the conditioner to my hands, it was lovely and creamy, and I immediately noticed my hair relaxing when I worked it through the ends. Plus, the scent was amazing. It feels like I've been walking around with hair that smells just like Rihanna's, and who wouldn't want that?!
