#fatkini is the brilliant new body acceptance social trend

At GLAMOUR HQ we take issue with the phrase 'bikini body' and the assumption that in order to wear a two-piece you have to conform to an idealistic body type.

So we're big fans of a new hashtag doing the rounds which is encouraging women to show off their #fatkini body.

Plus-size style blogger Gabi Gregg (GabiFresh) actually started the tag way back in 2012, aiming to encourage her followers to "have fun without worrying about what other people think."

And it's now trending with hundreds of women showing off their natural physiques via Instagram and Twitter, without fear of criticism.
