Dua Lipa's performances may be iconic – but, historically, so are her nails. And, so far, her recent “Radical Optimism” stadium tour has solidified her status as the “Queen of the Minimalist Manicure.”
This summer, we've seen two different nail camps dominate. The first is populated by lovers of the barely-there nail, who are driving the fledgling princess nails and glass manicure trends. The second is for those who typically love nail art, but this year favour a smattering of tiny embellishments rather than anything OTT.
Ever on trend, Dua has combined both of these aesthetics, proving that you can choose a base in a soft shade without it feeling boring. Case in point: Dua Lipa's latest manicure, which is the definition of minimal, save for the little accents that give it her own unique twist.
In an Instagram carousel posted on June 24, fans got a close-up look at the manicure her go-to nail artist, Michelle Humphrey, created for her Anfield Stadium concert.
Featuring a glassy pink polish and classic French tips, each soft almond-shaped nail was embellished with what looks like two tiny diamante flowers in a range of colours from blue and orange to purple and green.
It's a fresh take on the manicure she kicked off her Wembley concerts with, featuring a sheer nail and black daisies with a white dot at their centre.

Dua Lipa's new diamante floral manicure is also still in keeping with the manicure she was spotted wearing in Paris in May, which featured a pink nude base and a strategic placement of tiny silver stars (see slide 18 for a close-up snap).

Ultimately, though, Dua's style of minimalist manicure is a timely reminder that an accent or two, added to an otherwise glossy bare nail, can still feel clean rather than showy. Besides, is it just me, or has Dua Lipa just hard-launched the perfect low-maintenance but arty nail trend for festival season?
