In items you never knew you wanted, Dolce & Gabbana have teamed up with Smeg to create the world's most ornate (and expensive) fridges.

The Italian fashion house has created 100 limited edition, hand-painted fridges available for a maddening £30,000 each. Dolce & Gabbana worked with Sicilian artists to create the fridges, which are painted with provincial symbols and historical medieval scenes and required 240 hours of workmanship to produce.

Apparently, this insanely extravagant collection was conceived as a celebration of Italian craftsmanship. While you might expect a fridge with such a hefty price tag, to come fully stocked with Champagne, truffles and rare cheeses covered with gold leaf, it does, in fact, come empty.

Coming to Kim Kardashian's Instagram feed soon we imagine.
