Pregnant models, toddlers and babies all hit the catwalk at Milan Fashion Week this weekend - and they were all sporting clothes printed with drawings by Dolce & Gabbana employees in this wonderful tribute to 'mamma'.
To honour the woman who's the heart of the family, Dolce and Gabbana opted for a rose-printed extravaganza that had the crowd cheering in their seats - and crying.
According to reports there were some tears in the front row, especially from Stefano Gabbana's 84-year-old mamma.
A curtain drew open to reveal 11 model mothers with their own children on a stage at the end of the catwalk, and Bianca Balti - the D&G muse who is very pregnant with her second child - came down the runway to roaring applause.
The soundtrack consisted of a classic Italian pop song by Edoardo Bennato, also called Viva la Mama, whose lyrics doubled as the show notes, and Mama by the Spice Girls.
The designers' observation of real mothers from all over the world gave them a new perspective on femininity.
The make-up look complemented the vision, highlighting perfectly matte skin with a touch of rose blush; soft gentle eyes with a slight brush of Perfect Mono Eyeshadow in Antique Rose; and plump lips showcasing 13 hues of new Dolce Matte lipstick alongside new shade of Classic Cream Lipstick, Antique Rose.
