Gird your loins! She's coming!
The Devil Wears Prada 2 has finally arrived and we couldn’t be more excited. The sequel will see Andy return to Runway as Miranda attempts to keep the magazine afloat in an increasingly perilous media landscape, with the fashion world and print journalism both fighting for survival. It features plenty of returning characters alongside a wave of exciting new faces who will shake up the status quo.
One person who is no longer at Runway, however, is Emily. Emily Blunt’s character is now the head of a luxury brand and holds the keys to serious commercial power, something that could prove crucial to Runway’s survival and may blur the lines between ally and rival.

The clip features plenty of familiar faces, and also gives us our first glimpse of Simone Ashley’s mysterious new character.
In the scene, Meryl Streep’s Miranda is in full, scathing form while reviewing the latest photos for Runway, asking Andy whether “the models were encouraged to mill around like starving goats in the parking lot of a methadone clinic in New Jersey.”
As she delivers the line, Ashley’s character interrupts with a pointed throat-clear to get Miranda’s attention.
“What? What am I not allowed to say? Methadone? New Jersey?” Miranda quips in response, suggesting Ashley’s character may be tasked with gently stopping the editor-in-chief from saying anything too offensive.
We’re sure Miranda absolutely adores that.
