Trying to find well cut, fashionable clothing has long been a nightmare for plus size girls. Although there are stores like Mango launching plus size clothing lines, and the ASOS Curve range, there isn't a HUGE amount of choice on the high street. Which is why this latest collaboration between Evans and a host of top designers, from Clements Ribeiro to Giles Deacon, is particularly interesting.

Evans is the UK's biggest plus size retailer, and they've done a string of curve-conscious designer collaborations in the past. But this is the first time they have done a catwalk show - which took place last night during London Fashion Week, and debuted a totally trend-conscious and bold collection that showed off the wearer's figure, and didn't shy away from trends that other retailers have ignored in the past (hello, crop tops and sheer fabrics).

From a chic metallic skirt, to cool co-ords and sporty embellished sweatshirts, a whole range of chic pieces were sent down the runway - although they won't be available until next year.

Featuring designs reworked from the main collections of Clements Ribeiro, Giles Deacon, Hema Kaul, Jamie Wei Huang, Lulu Liu and Vita Gottlieb to flatter a curvier figure, the Design Collective at Evans will also showcase the winner of the third CUT for EVANS competition, where design students get a chance to create beautiful plus size clothing alongside the Head of Design at the high street brand. Pieces from the in house design team will also be included in the collection, which lands in stores and online in April next year.
