Leave it to supermodel Cindy Crawford and daughter Kaia Gerber to give us a 101 in styling a classic wardrobe staple in two different ways. The mother-daughter duo opted for the same trend for the same event, with both Crawford and Gerber wearing their own take on the LBD (little black dress) trend while attending the opening night of OMEGA House Paris on July 27, 2024, in France.
For the event, Crawford, one of fashion’s biggest stars in the ‘90s, went for a classically chic look with influences from the era. She wore a black cowl-neck midi dress. In lieu of straps, the dress was held up by gold chains which matched the model’s necklace. She sported a silver watch on her arm and carried a red clutch. A pair of delicate gold hoops completed the look. As for beauty, she styled her hair in loose curls parted to the side and wore a soft, smokey eye with a pink glossy lip.
Gerber took the same LBD trend and gave it the Gen Z touch. The 22-year-old model and actor wore a black A-line mini dress. Though it also looked like a cowl neckline from afar, Gerber’s dress actually featured a peekaboo-like bodice. She styled her look with a pearl necklace featuring a red gemstone at the centre, hoop earrings with a dainty charm, and a white gold watch. She similarly kept beauty quite simple, stepping out with a blowout parted in the middle, tight-lined eyeliner, bronzer, and glossy pink lips with soft red liner.

Fashion is clearly a family affair for the mother-daughter duo, who have been blessing Paris with plenty of other looks during their visit. Earlier that day, they attended the 2024 Olympics, where they wore equally chic looks despite the summer rain. Kaia Gerber dressed for the occasion with rain boots which perfectly complemented her grey strapless mini dress fastened with a belt around the neckline. She accessorised with a silver watch and a pair of sleek ‘90s-style thin oval glasses. Crawford wore a simple dark tank top with white pants and matching trainers. Perfect for a day of watching sports!
