When you think of polo what do you think of? Jilly Cooper, massive magnums of Champagne and Argentina are probably up there but something's happened, polo's got cool and half of Hollywood is jumping on the bandwagon. Forget the FA Cup, Wimbledon or F1, this is a sport that the celebs can really get behind.

To test out our hypothesis, we headed to the Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park and here are 9 of our favourite moments from a really fun (and cool) day.

She might not be able to walk yet but it looks like Princess Charlotte is already destined to be a polo fan. Prince William couldn't stop smiling when Audi presented him with some pink miniature Hunter wellies.

Douglas Booth, case in point. And he's in Polo Ralph Lauren fittingly.

He might play the flamboyant Caesar Flickerman in The Hunger Games but Stanley Tucci was on his best behaviour for the polo. The actor made it into a bit of a family affair, bringing along his wife, Felicity Blunt, their new baby Matteo, and his sister-in-law Emily Blunt.

It was a Poldark day out

Sadly no Aidan Turner (they don't look kindly on toplessness at the polo), but his two Poldark co-stars Heida Reed and Ruby Bentall, who play Elizabeth and Verity, got into the swing of things with a bit of "divot-stomping" - that's when the crowd helps smooth out the torn patches of grass ICYDK.

Emily Blunt stuck two fingers up at the weather with her outfit

If there's one thing us Brits are good at it's braving the elements and Emily Blunt did it in a really stylish way, wearing this pretty blush-pink halterneck dress by Jenny Packham with Nicholas Kirkwood sandals and Maha Lozi earrings.

And Edie Campbell rocked it in trousers

Just in case you thought polo meant pretty, Edie Campbell showed it can also be hip. She wasn't afraid to turn the dress code on its head with these baggy, striped trouser and loose blazer.

Where else would you see Chiwetel Ejiofor hitting the dance floor?

OK, 12 Years A Slave star Chiwetel Ejiofor meant be looking all prim and polished here but, a few hours later, he hit the dance-floor with some completely awesome moves.

John Newman provided the entertainment

As if watching two princes fight it out on the polo field, millions of celebs quaffing champagne and enjoying a three-course dinner, John "Love Me Again" Newman was booked as the evening's performer.

And just in case that wasn't enough for you…
