Cherry nails are trending and Hailey Bieber's just jumped on board

Want a fruity mani situation to boost your mood and bring the summer vibes? You're in luck. Cherry nails are cute, cheeky, cheery and – by the looks of things – about to be everywhere.

Honestly, we're here for a bright, happy design and there's something about looking down at dinky cherries on our nails that gives us instant oxytocin.

The celebs are jumping on board, too, with Hailey Bieber the latest recruit. She posted a carousel of recent highlights to her grid with the caption “all smiles over here 😄 except for Piggy. 🙃” In it she shared some looks from her Fourth of July celebrations, where she wore all white, except for a little glazed cherry nail moment, which you can see close up in slide two where she's changed into a cherry red bikini and matching baseball cap, and again on slide five where she looks to be applying a top-up of her cult Peptide Lip Treatment.

Hailey stuck to her signature glazed pink base, but swapped in creamy-yellow glazed French tips with a dinky cherry design accented on her ring finger.

It's just one way to wear the trend, but you can remix cherry nails to work with whatever style you've got going on. We've seen them worn solo as a subtle statement, we've seen them worn as a an accent on just one nail (like Ms Bieber), we've seen them made maximalist with multiple cherries scattered across fingertips and we've seen them levelled-up (quite literally) with red 3D gemstones.

They're perfect if you want a fun, cutesy design without going full on Hello Kitty, and it turns out they can even look majorly chic and low-key grown-up (yes, really), especially when paired with a sophisticated Frenchie underneath.
