I don't know about you, but whenever anyone gets engaged I want to know two things: what do the ring and nails look like? Celebrity engagement manicures give us a glimpse behind the most special occasion (and one of the most important manis) in that person's life – and stranger or not, we want the inside scoop.

It's an intimate moment, but it also has the opportunity to be an inspirational one too, giving us creative fodder for our own future nuptials or simply providing a cute moment of joy from one person to another that we can share in.

So, here are some of our favourite celebrity engagement manicures to scratch the itch...

Zendaya

While we don't have a #bts from the engagement itself, Zendaya chose a slightly elongated nearly naked mani in a rounded shape to debut her new ring at the 2025 Golden Globes. Fiancé Tom Holland picked out an east-to-west cushion cut diamond set on a delicate gold band.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa got engaged over Christmas to fiancé Callum Turner. She shared a carousel of pics from the last days of 2024 which included a shot of her newly bedazzled fourth finger holding a martini glass with a long almond shaped milky mani. While we're still waiting for a better close-up of the ring, it appears to be an oval solitaire set pretty flat against a solid gold band.

Selena Gomez

Despite being rumoured to have got engaged over summer 2024, Selena waited until December to share the news of her engagement and a snap of her ring. In the shot, we can see a clear, glossy barely-there nail shade on midi-length rounded nails. As for the rock? It's a pretty whopper marquise-shaped diamond on a silver pavé diamond band.

Gabbriette

Model and musician, Gabbriette got engaged to The 1975's Matty Healy in May 2024. The first pic she posted of the ring showed her wearing a grungy black mani to match her black diamond halo ring.

Sofia Richie

Sofia Richie shared an intimate snap of the actual evening she got engaged to now-husband Elliot Grainge in April 2022. Her nails are cut short and appear to be bare or painted in an ultra-subtle nude pink. For her actual wedding day, her manicurist, Georgia Rae, shared a close-up of her nails painted in Bio Sculpture's delicate pink Sweet Candy Breath which allowed her emerald cut diamond on a delicate gold band to shine.

Ariana Grande

The first close-up pic we got of Ariana's Toi et Moi pearl and oval diamond engagement ring from now ex-husband Dalton Gomez in December 2020 showed her wearing an elongated glazed French manicure.

Jasmine Tookes

Jasmine Tookes shared a #bts shot of her ginormous oval solitaire engagement ring on a thin gold band to her Insta when she got engaged in September 2020. While her mani wasn't visible, it's likely she was wearing a version of the sophisticated elongated almond-shaped soft pink she's made her signature.

Lily Collins

Lily Collins appeared to be hiking with now-husband, Charlie McDowell, when he proposed to her with a vintage-inspired square rose cut (and pale rose coloured) diamond fixed in a bezel setting in September 2020. Her nails were bare and cut semi-short.

Nicola Peltz Beckham

Nicola Peltz appeared to have short nude pink nails when now-husband Brooklyn Beckham proposed to her in July 2020. Since then, her manicurist, Tom Bachik, shared a close-up snap of her emerald-cut diamond ring on a silver micro pavé band alongside the details of her wedding mani – a “custom blended 90s Supermodel American Mani for the stunning bride”.

Hailey Bieber

Hailey Bieber got engaged to Justin quietly in the Bahamas in July 2018. The first snap she shared of her ring the next month showed her sat on Justin's lap on a boat with short, bare fingernails and her huge oval solitaire ring. Since then, she's made almond-shaped glazed donut nails her signature, but she regularly mixes up her mani with experimental shades.

Emily Ratajkowski

Em Rata got quietly engaged in February 2018, but didn't share a picture of the ring until July that year. In the snaps she shared that she'd paired her Toi et Moi square and oval shaped diamond engagement ring with a chunky solid gold wedding band. As for her nails, she kept them short and bare.

Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie announced her engagement and wedding in December 2016 with perhaps our favourite shot, flipping her fourth finger to the camera. She wore short nude pink nails for the occasion. Her now-husband Tom Ackerley picked out a dainty pear-shaped diamond set on a silver pavé band.
