Monday's Burberry show, the first of it's new see-now-buy-now model was a huge hit! Inspired by Virginia Woolf's 'Orlando: A biography', the collection was an amalgamation of the past and the present. Elizabethan references styled up with modern details.

The Front row guests such as Cara Delevigne, Felicity Jones and Freida Pinto wore pieces from the collection that would be available to buy in the Burberry flagship store within minutes of the show.

A stand out show; Here are 5 styling tricks we want to copy ASAP:

Pyjama Inspired Stripes

Pyjama dressing comes and goes from season to season. Last year was all about embracing your inner sexy.. This year it's a classic pyjama and it's all about the stripes! Mix and match your stripes but keep it tonal!

Belting

Last season saw a lot of belts especially wide 80's inspired waist belts. Burberry makes a move away from wider belts with a skinny double wrapped belt. It was the shorter jackets that had been belted that really caught our attention and something we will be copying all autumn and into spring.

Ruffle collars

This was one of the most obvious Elizabethan details within the show. Made modern by being paired under a sweater. Just the right sort of detail to lift any outfit.

Double shirting

Oversized. Silk over cotton. Stripes over a block colour. So simple. So good!

Layering

Playing with lengths is an easy way to make your outfit stand out (and keep warm). Opt for fluid fabrics and dont be scared to mix in prints. Keep colours muted and fits loose.
