We might have thought we were at the 2024 BRIT Awards tonight, but judging by some of the red carpet appearances at the O2 Arena, you'd be forgiven for thinking we'd stepped back into the noughties – or even the late nineties – such was the lineup of legendary ladies from this era.
That's right, some of the women at tonight's ceremony have been treading the well-heeled red carpet for many years, all the way back to when it was held in Earls Court in West London (who remembers that?) – and not the O2 Arena.

First up, we had the one and only Sporty Spice herself Ms Melanie C, forgoing the Adidas striped joggers of yesteryear for a chic black trouser suit ensemble complete with oversized blazer and a black bandeau top that – naturally – revealed her trademark abs. That iconic crop top has graced the BRITs red carpet now for nearly 30 years. Girl Power.
Spice Girls aside, the BRITs also had an All Saint in the room in the form of Shaznay Lewis – looking gorgeous in a full black ensemble and sporting some serious smokey eyes. We're sure that any decades-old Spice Girl vs. All Saints beef has been long buried by now, and Mel and Shaznay nattered the night away.
Any The Hills fans out there? OG noughties songstress, Natasha Bedingfield – who lest we forget sky-rocketed to global fame with her 2004 hit, Unwritten, also the theme tune to the iconic MTV show – also rocked the red carpet with an awesome platinum bob.
Not to be outdone by the Brits at the erm, BRITs, we also saw US singer and rapper, Eve (Who's That Girl) taking her place at the O2's carpet. Looking hot in her latex dress, might we add.
And then of course there was the one and only Kylie Minogue, whose music career goes even further back than even the nineties, and way back to the 1980s. Over from Down Under and quite rightly being honoured on the night with the Global Icon Award, as well as performing (sadly not Especially For You with Jason Donovan however. Now that would be an 80's throwback).
And finally, and we're just gonna say it, a little bit randomly, we also had noughties Queen of the rom com, Isla Fisher, making a surprise appearance at the BRITs. Yes, she might not be known for her musical output, but her acting contribution to popular culture of the noughties – Confessions of a Shopaholic and Wedding Crashers for example – firmly gives her noughties legend status. As does her giant oversized polka dot bow ensemble.
Basically, the BRIT Awards 2024 was a millennial's dream – now, we're just waiting for the pic drop from the afterparty. All Saints/Spice Girls mash-up, anyone?!
