Rosé from BLACKPINK is trying one of the oldest trends in the book. The humble hat is one of the most versatile styling accessories ever. Whether you're tossing on a beanie before you run out the door for class, hiding third-day hair with a baseball cap on the weekend, or glamming it up in a beret, Emily in Paris-style, a hat can transform your outfit in less than a minute. BLACKPINK's Rosé gets it and has been very faithful to the backward snapback hat trend lately, wearing various backward caps with all her latest fits.
We have a feeling that the backward cap looks may be inspired by Rosé's recent collaboration with Bruno Mars, the song “APT.” Mars often wears a backward snapback and is wearing one in the music video, and since the single dropped, Rosé has been spotted in them basically 24/7. (Hailey Bieber is also a fan; in early 2024, she wore a Phoebe Philo bag with a backward baseball cap.)
In an Instagram video of herself dancing to the song, Rosé wore a black leather hat over her platinum blonde hair, styled with a cropped tank top and trousers.

Another black hat popped up in Brazil when Rosé waved to fans from her hotel balcony.

Later, she turned her “apt into a clurbb” in a white tank top and a khaki hat with a darker brown brim, dancing along with her friends; according to a BLACKPINK style account on Instagram, it's the Clover BB Cap from Racal Hatter Tokyo.

When Mars joined her to wave to fans, they were both wearing backward hats, with Rosé in a cream New York Yankees cap and Mars in a black hat.

And finally, Rosé popped up in an Instagram Story wearing a front-facing baseball cap from Brandy Melville. So many hats, so little time! That's five, count 'em, five hats in a row. Thankfully, they don't take up too much space when you're packing.

While we may be firmly into beanie and beret season, the BLACKPINK member proves that a classic backward cap never goes out of style and works with every outfit.
