A little competition can keep things fun for couples! For instance, my mum and stepdad play the same iPad solitaire game every night and compare scores.

For Beyoncé and Jay-Z, things are no different. It’s just that instead of a card game, they’re competing to see who can be the most Grammy-nominated artist ever. It was Jay-Z, but as of today, it’s Bey. Just couple things!

Yep, Mrs. Knowles-Carter just made history. She’s now been nominated for a whopping 87 Grammy Awards throughout her career, surpassing the record previously held by her husband and making her the first female solo artist to surpass 80 nominations, per JustJared. Her new album, Renaissance, is up for album of the year and best dance/electronic music album, and she’s in the running for record of the year for “Break My Soul,” song of the year for “Break My Soul,” best dance/electronic recording for “Break My Soul,” best R&B performance for “Virgo’s Groove,” best traditional R&B performance for “Plastic Off the Sofa,” and best song written for visual media for “Be Alive” from King Richard.

The singer has yet to react to this achievement, but if you’re wondering whether she and her husband are proud as a family…yes, they are! In fact, they are The Proud Family.

History-making runs in the blood. Got this sh** from Tina, as they say. Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles recently became the first African American woman to compose music for the NYC ballet, and Bey gave her a sweet shoutout online, writing, “My beloved sister, there are no words to express the pride and admiration I have for you. You are a visionary and one of one…I love you deep. Might I suggest you don’t f*** with my sis.” Yes, indeed, we remember what happens when you F with Solange.

Congratulations all around!
