Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour has officially begun — and the queen honoured her fans with an extra special surprise on opening night. An appearance from the princesses themselves, Blue Ivy and Rumi. Yes, Beyoncé's adorable daughters both joined her on stage. And, honestly, it was one of the cutest things we've ever seen.

Beyoncé's daughters joined their mother at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28, appearing during the song “Protector," a song that features Rumi's voice at the beginning. The 7-year-old Rumi wore a sparkly golden dress as she held her mother's hand and waved happily at the crowd. Meanwhile, 13-year-old Blue Ivy, ever the professional, danced behind them. At one point, Rumi and Bey sat while Blue Ivy hugged them from behind. I'm not crying, you are.

Eventually, it all became too much for Rumi and her older sister helped escort her off the stage. After the song, a montage of Beyoncé's children, Blue Ivy, Rumi and Rumi's twin Sir played on the big screen.

While Rumi doesn't often appear with her mother during performances, Blue Ivy has graced the stage with her mum on a number of occasions. She performed alongside Beyoncé during the NFL 2024 halftime show last year and also joined her mother on stage at the Grammys this year.

“Blue is an artist. She has great taste in music and fashion," the singer recently told GQ. “She is a fantastic editor, painter, and actress. She has been creating characters since she was three.”

She went on: "She’s a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage. Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.”

She also explained that it just makes sense for her children to join her on stage. “My kids come with me everywhere I go," she said. "They come to my office after school, and they are in the studio with me. They are in dance rehearsals. It’s natural that they would learn my choreography.”
