Bella Ramsey served us a truly stand-out look at this year's Met Gala, looking truly original in a sea of monochromatic gowns and black tie suits.
Don't get us wrong, the outfit standards were high, but the theme as ever – a dedication to the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty" – has narrowed down the usually eclectic range of looks somewhat.
That is, unless you're Bella, whose black Thom Browne skirt suit, which featured a pleated skirt and white piping, was a truly original take on the theme. The look was a homage to Lagerfeld's Chanel days (in the boxy suit jacket style) as reimagined by Browne, an American designer famed for his suit tailoring. Bella's look was completed by a simple white shirt and black tie paired with slim-fitting black trousers and heeled, patent leather black ankle boots was a head-turning aesthetic for their first red carpet.
In an interview with L’Officiel, the actor opened up about queer love on the hit show.

The 19-year-old, who identifies as non-binary, went for a simple hair & beauty look: a centre-parted up-to plus luminous skin and white eyeliner, and fans were loving the look on social media, declaring them “THE moment”.

They weren't the only one wearing Thom Browne: so was Wednesday star Jenna Ortega, who paired the look with lace-up platform brogues and knee-high stockings, wearing a corset beneath.
At the star-studded event, they were accompanied by their Last of Us co-star, Pedro Pascal, who wore a red wool coat and matching shirt over black shorts and stomp-y lace-up combat boots.
