‘The skant’
Trousers with a skirt overlay or skirt-like draping — also known as ‘the skant’, a.k.a. skirt-pants — are a hybrid piece we’ve been seeing at brands like Loewe and Courrèges (back to haunt millennial dreams). You’d be the first among your circle to wear them this summer, but they’ll be a lot more visible by autumn. Given the popularity of slip dresses and satin skirts lately, it was only a matter of time until satin pants hit the trend cycle again.
