After sporting Jean-Louis Scherrer’s sparkling vintage gown for the red carpet – at the Venice Film Festival 2025 – of Noah Baumbach’s film Jay Kelly, in which George Clooney stars, Amal Clooney is back to give us a style lesson. This time away from the spotlight, the couple was spotted joining a boat to embark on a romantic tour of Venice – after all, it was the backdrop in 2014 for their fairytale wedding.
For the boat tour, Amal Clooney chose a timeless outfit – an ensemble based on a staple LBD with an array of cute accessories. Starting with white Prada slingback shoes and topping it all off with a small handbag and a wide-brimmed straw hat. (You can see the full look here).
The same shoes were featured in the look on her arrival in Venice. The lawyer paired them with a butter yellow dress, a colour butter that has been conquering the catwalk for autumn. Amal had chosen a sheath dress by Balmain with a linear and clean silhouette. With a sensual “V” neckline that discreetly highlighted the shoulders, Amal’s oversized jewelled belt sculpted the waist to create a harmonious relationship between rigour and sensuality. Meanwhile, applied pocked on the skirt added a dynamism to break up the minimal design and give it a modern and unexpected feel.
