As wedding season kicks in, and thousands of Brits prepare to depart on pre-nuptial trips away, we got wind of the not-so-cheery statistic that a THIRD of us cheat while on our stag and hen dos.

And the deception doesn't end there, with 92% of those surveyed by vouchercloud.com admitting they had hidden the cheating from their partners, going through with the weddings with a smile as if nothing had happened.

Yikes!

While the sheer extent of Britons' infidelities may be shocking, the reasons were not a huge surprise, with the overwhelming majority (76%), saying they played around because they were "drunk and things got out of control", and 65% blaming "cold feet" and "feeling stressed about the wedding". Yet the key to making sure you and your partner stay faithful may lie in geography: 67% of unfaithful stag and hen parties took place abroad, with only (only!) 33% cheating while celebrating in the UK.

And people weren't just careless with their relationships, but with their money too: of the 1,573 UK citizens surveyed, 62% admitted visiting strip clubs, with each member of the hen or stag spending a whopping £120 just on that part of the night.

But despite these sobering statistics, there is a silver lining - at least now we know that two thirds of Britons don't cheat on their partners just before their weddings…
